Reminder: RI is closed for Thanksgiving week and there will be no classes on Nov 25th or 27th. See you back on Dec 2nd for the final week of the fall semester.

Upcoming Events:

NOV 19 WEDNESDAY at Noon in FIC 003: Another!! SONG CIRCLE. R. I. Members and guests join in singing and dancing along with some well-known pop and folk songs from the 60’s and the 70’s. If you have any requests for new songs, please contact John Meredith johnmeredith1439@gmail.com>.

NOV 20 THURSDAY: Winter in the City Catalog publication, at the end of the day. Check your Inbox for an email from Jenny Heinlein. The catalog will be attached; it will also be posted on the www.renmember.com website. Sign-up instructions are listed on the cover page. You’re on your honor to wait until then, to contact event hosts! THANKS!

DEC 5 FRIDAY at 12 pm in Doyle Hall: RI Holiday celebration! This year we are going back to pre-covid days and having a sit-down luncheon catered by Sage Dining Services in the Doyle banquet room. Music will be provided by our amazing chorus. Tickets are $20 per person; ticket sales will end Wednesday, November 19 and cannot be bought at the door. For more information, including link to purchase tickets online, please see 11/6 email from Jenny.

Notices and Reminders:

From the Reflections Committee: Please be thinking about your submissions for Reflections. Photography, poetry, art, and prose pieces are due on Thursday January 15th, 2026. It sounds reasonably far away, but it will go quickly.
From the Library Committee: Due to the success of the recent book sale, we have room on our shelves! So we are now pleased to invite donations from Renaissance members, with a limit of 2 per member. Fiction, non-fiction, mysteries and thrillers are always popular. We also accept poetry. Please-no reference books or cookbooks.

Looking Ahead: As the Fall semester draws to a close, we hope you have enjoyed it and that we will see you back in the spring. Please remember to tell your friends and members of other groups you belong to about RI. Once they join, they can also participate in Winter in the City activities, as an added bonus.
