Below is a list of events happening in Renaissance now and in the near future.

 

Upcoming Events: 

OCT 13 TUESDAY at 12:30 in FIC003, Town Hall Meeting. OCT 15 THURSDAY at 12:30 in FIC021, Virtual Town Hall Meeting on Zoom. The link will be emailed on Wednesday.

OCT 14 WEDNESDAY at 12:00 noon in FIC003: UKE JAM AND SINGALONG.  All ukulele players at any skill level are welcome, and we also need singers to join in. Bring your lunch, bring a friend or two, and join in the fun!

OCT 14 WEDNESDAY at 5:00pm, Dinner at Doyle! Parking is in the lot past Doyle Hall, around the curve.  You are more than welcome to bring guests.  Please RSVP at dinneratdoyle@gmail.com  as we reserve tables.  Thank you!

OCT 23 FRIDAY, Due Date for Course Proposals: It is hard to believe, but it is already time to propose courses for our Spring 2027 semester.  See 10/1 email from Jenny Heinlein for details on how to submit proposals.  If you have an idea for a course but need some feedback, don't hesitate to contact Terry Weisser or Kathleen Bennett.  If you have never taught before but want to "dip your toe in," we are happy to help you and give you some guidance.  Please submit your form as soon as possible so that we can begin planning. 

 

Notices and Reminders:

Winter in the City: Be on the lookout for an important informational email from the Winter in the City Committee later this week.  It will be sent by Jenny Heinlein.

Caroline’s Cupboard : We would love your help this year in getting donations for Caroline’s Cupboard, our on-campus food pantry and Gator Thrift, our on-campus thrift store.  As the weather starts to get colder, we need donations of soup (Cup a noodle, ramen packets, canned soup) for Caroline’s Cupboard and coats- adults and children’s- for Gator Thrift.  See 10/1 email from Jenny Heinlein for more information.

Flu (and other) Vaccines – We will be in KNOTT 136 (Pharmacy Care Lab located off the Knott Lobby) on Tuesday, October 13 – 11am to 2pm. Refer to the 10/06 email from Jennifer with details on how to sign up and insurance coverage.

Member Survey: Last week, Barb sent out a request for feedback on your experience as a member of RI. If you haven’t already, please take a few minutes to complete the survey. It is due by October 14; click here to complete the survey. We really value your opinions and will use your feedback for planning future RI events.

Member Photos: We’ve asked NDMU’s photographer, Sadie Wittenberg, to capture a few updated photos of RI in action to use in future marketing activities (e.g., website, brochure). She’ll join us on October 8 and 13 to take photos of member engaged in a variety of activities, and she’ll be accompanied by Jenny or Barb.
