Below is a list of events happening in Renaissance now and in the near future.
Upcoming Events:
FEB 25 WEDNESDAY at 12:00 NOON in FIC003: Song Circle. RI Members and guests join in singing and dancing along with some well-known pop and folk songs from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Bring your lunch, bring a friend or two, and join in the fun!
FEB 26 THURSDAY at 12:20 PM in FIC003: Bread and Soup Day. Please bring your desserts to the kitchen before noon if possible. Line up in the hall outside FIC 003 for this event.
We are also collecting contributions for GEDCO this Thursday. Please bring your checks and cash contributions. Christine Bentley is our liaison with GEDCO, and she will be at a table near the soup line.
FEB 27 FRIDAY, 10:00 AM on Zoom: Summer in the City Committee Planning Meeting. All RI members are invited to attend, to explore this project and perhaps join the committee. Email committee chair, Susan Serotte – nsed7915@comcast.net – to receive the Zoom link.
MAR 11 WEDNESDAY at 12:00 NOON in FIC003: Uke Jam and Singalong. All ukulele players at any skill level are welcome, and we also need singers to join in. Bring your lunch, bring a friend or two, and join in the fun!
MAR 18 WEDNESDAY at 2:30 PM in the Loyola-Notre Dame Library Ridley Auditorium and on Zoom: Second Annual Legacy Lecture. This year we are honoring Elizabeth Fanto for her tireless work on behalf of RI. Noted food historian Joyce M. White will present the lecture; her presentation is called “Dining in Colonial Maryland.” There will also be a reception in the library at 2:00 PM. Members are encouraged to bring a guest.
