Announcements October 1 and October 3

Below is a list of events happening in Renaissance now and in the near future.

Upcoming Events:

OCT 1 TUESDAY, 12:30 in FIC003 or OCT 10, 12:30 on Zoom: RI Town Halls. (Zoom link to be sent prior to that session.)

OCT 2, WEDNESDAY, Noon in FIC003: Uke Jam and Singalong. Uke players of all levels, singers, and listeners are welcome. This will be a great opportunity for the Uke players to get warmed up for Ray Forton's Class later in the month. Bring your lunch and bring a friend.

OCT 4 FRIDAY, 10:00 – 3:30 in Doyle Formal: NDMU Blood Drive. The Physician Assistant Program presents the fall 2024 Blood Drive! Sign up to donate blood to give back to those in need; the link is available in a 9/23 email from Sandy Adams.


OCT 15 TUESDAY: Deadline for submitting course proposals for the Spring 2025 semester. (The proposal form was attached to a 9/19 email from Sandy Adams.) The form is also available on our website, https://renmember.com/ Please submit the completed proposal form as an email attachment to Terry Weisser and Kathleen Bennett. If you have any questions or need assistance filling out the form, please contact Terry, Kathleen, or Sandy.

Notices and Reminders:

Mass Notification System: NDMU provides this service that sends messages instantly to registered users via text or email. It is offered to all RI Members and will notify you for such events as inclement weather campus closing, delayed opening, or other important information or emergencies on campus. Please see the 9/25 email from Sandy for the link to sign up (also available at renmember.com).


Dinner at Doyle: RI is bringing back this old tradition, 5PM on the 2ⁿᵈ Wednesday of each month. Join other RI members for a delicious, all you can eat dinner for only $11.66.
You must have your student picture ID, and parking on campus is allowed. Please see the 9/24 email from Sandy for a link to register, which will guarantee tables are reserved for us. Guest Spouses and Relatives invited.

Keeping Everyone Healthy: There has been an uptick in members coughing in in-person classes. We ask that anyone with a cough please cover up, mask, or stay home if sick, to avoid inadvertently spreading colds or other conditions throughout our vulnerable community. Note that we continue to have face masks available at the kiosk for your convenience.
