Announcements - March 4 and March 6

Below is a list of events happening in Renaissance now and in the near future.

Upcoming Events:

MAR 4 TUESDAY, 12:30-1:00 pm in Room FIC003: RI Town Hall meeting. Constituent meetings are being held this week to provide a forum for members to engage and ask questions, which will help form the agenda for the Town Hall meeting; contact your Council member if you have not received an invitation to a Constituent meeting.

MAR 6, THURSDAY, 12:30-1:00 pm on Zoom: RI Town Hall meeting. (See above for more info.)

MARCH 11, TUESDAY and MARCH 13, THURSDAY, we will celebrate PI Day. Tables for pie will be placed outside the kitchen along with plates, napkins, and plastic ware. Donations are welcome anytime and all are welcome to partake. Enjoy!

Notices and Reminders:

Upcoming RI Elections:

•  Anyone who has been a member of RI for at least two semesters can self-nominate or be nominated by another member, with the agreement of the candidate.

•  Nomination forms will be available in the office. Think about nominating yourself or someone to one of the leadership positions. More details will follow in the March newsletter.

Course Proposals: Proposals for Fall 2025 classes are due March 14ᵗʰ. For the form and instructions, see Sandy Adams’ emails from 2/20.

Summer in the City: Event Submissions are being accepted now. Click on Summer in the City on the RI member website - www.renmember.com - to find event ideas and instructions for planning and writing your catalog description. Email your event write-up to risummerinthecity4@gmail.com. The April 11 deadline is only six weeks away!

Martina Hastings Memorial Bus Trip: This docent-led tour of the National Museum of Women in the Arts takes place on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. The bus will depart from Cromwell Bridge Park & Ride at 
9am for the museum and return at approximately 4:30pm. The cost of the event is $20 per person. Lunch is on your own. Please contact Nadine Yoritomo (nadine.yoritomo@gmail.com) to RSVP before 
April 1ˢᵗ. We are limited to 40 people for the docent tour.
