FEB 26 WEDNESDAY, 12:00 noon in Feeley 003 (the Big Room!): UKE JAM AND SINGALONG. All Uke players at any skill level are welcome and we need singers also to join in. Bring your lunch, bring a friend or two and join in the fun!
MAR 4 TUESDAY, 12:30-1:00 pm in Room FIC003: RI Town Hall meeting. Constituent meetings are being held this week to provide a forum for members to engage and ask questions, which will help form the agenda for the Town Hall meeting; contact your Council member if you have not received an invitation to a Constituent meeting.
MAR 6, THURSDAY, 12:30-1:00 pm on Zoom: RI Town Hall meeting. (See above for more info.) Notices and Reminders:
Upcoming RI Elections:
• Each spring RI members elect three representatives to our governing body, the Council. The Council meets once a month to discuss and approve Renaissance's plans.
• Every other year we elect our officers: The President, Vice President and Secretary. This year, The President, Vice President and Secretary, along with three Council representatives, are all up for election. A Council member who has served a full term may not run again for the Council, but may run for one of the other offices.
• Anyone who has been a member of RI for at least two semesters can self-nominate or be nominated by another member, with the agreement of the candidate.
• Nomination forms will be available in the office. Think about nominating yourself or someone to one of these leadership positions. More details will follow in the March newsletter.
Course Proposals: Proposals for Fall 2025 classes are due March 14ᵗʰ. For the form and instructions, see Sandy Adams’ emails from 2/20.
Kiosk Volunteers Needed: The RI Executive Committee is requesting that RI members help staff the kiosk in the RI office during the second six-week session this Spring. There will be a sign-up sheet at the kiosk, and training will be provided. This is a great opportunity to meet a lot of the members as well as learn about the full range of RI activities.
