Below is a list of events happening in Renaissance now and in the near future.
Upcoming Events:
APR 8 TUESDAY 12:15 pm in FIC 003 (the Big Room!): Free Lunch AKA Bread and Soup Day at RI. Soups will be served in the hallway outside of 003 starting at 12:15 and continuing for at least an hour.
Zoom members are encouraged to make the journey over to campus to enjoy good food and good company. We will be delighted to accept your donations of desserts for this occasion and they may be dropped off in the kitchen anytime Tuesday morning. They will be served from the snack table by the kitchen at 12:15.
APR 9 WEDNESDAY 5: 30 PM: DINNER at DOYLE: Bring your student ID and join your Renaissance friends for dinner and conversation.
APR 11 FRIDAY: Deadline for Summer in the City submissions. It’s time to put your plans together and send your descriptions to risummerinthecity4@gmail.com. SIC Committee chair, Susan Serotte, is happy to help with planning/composing; contact her at nsed7915@comcast.net. We’re counting on you to fill summer days ith enriching events!
APR 16 WEDNESDAY 12:00 noon in FIC 003: SONG CIRCLE. R. I. Members and guests join in singing and dancing(!) along with some well-known pop and folk songs from the 60’s and the 70’s. Bring your
lunch, bring a friend or two and join in the fun!
APR 23 WEDNESDAY 12:00 noon in Feeley 003: CONCERT by “Tomato Junction.” This is the Renaissance
Institute House Band featuring several R. I. Members.
Notices and Reminders:
Martina Hastings Memorial Bus Trip: The response for the Martina Hastings Memorial Bus Trip on Wednesday, May 7 has been wonderful! Currently, 40 people have RSVP'd for the docent tour and 7 people are on the docent waitlist. The charter bus will comfortably accommodate 50 people - we have 3 seats remaining! The waitlisted individuals are welcome to accompany us on the bus and pay their own admission fee - attending the museum without the docent tour. Any individual on the RSVP docent list can change their mind and not attend the docent tour and visit the museum on their own and pay their own admission fee - please let me know if you wish to NOT join the docent tour by Wednesday, April 16.
