Announcement November 14 and November 16
Below is a list of events happening in Renaissance now and in the near future.
Upcoming Events:
NOV 16th THURSDAY: 12:00 in FIC 003, MEMORIAL SERVICE to honor the members we have lost at RI in the past year. The service is given by Betty Loafmann and the Renaissance Singers. An All Souls Remembered display table was set up on November 8, 2023 in the hall outside room 103 to honor those departed in 2023 and before. This includes animals as well as people. Bring photographs and souvenirs to the office or the table with your name on them. Note cards and pens are available next to the table should you need them.
NOV 21st TUESDAY & NOV 23rd THURSDAY: RI is closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday and classes will not be held. The RI office will be closed 11/20-11/24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. The campus is closed 11/22 - 11/24 for the holiday. Classes resume on Monday Nov. 27.
COMMUNITY EVENT: “Sweet Charity, A Big Dance Musical,” is being shown at the Motor House, 120 W. North Avenue in Baltimore. Performances will be on November 17, 18, and 19. Director is Cjay Philip, who taught a popular class at RI last year. For tickets and additional information visit danceandbmore.com.

From the WINTER IN THE CITY COMMITTEE: The Winter in the City calendars promise interesting weeks, between semesters. If you’d like to host an event, but missed the deadline, please send your description to riwinterinthecity2@gmail.com, ASAP. The catalog will be published before Thanksgiving; please do not contact hosts to sign up before then. THANKS!
From the REFLECTIONS COMMITTEE: Submission sheets for Reflections are on the table outside of the office or on remember.com under forms heading. Deadlines are poetry and prose: January 12, photography and art February 6.
Membership Badges: A Reminder from the RI Council: We want get to know each another! We have many new members this fall, and many existing members returning to campus after a break, so we ask all members to wear their badges while on campus. We also ask that you include medical/emergency contact information inside your badge. You may pick up a contact form (and/or a badge) in the office if you need one.
